SHERIFF’S OFFICE LOOKING FOR VEHICLE BURGLARY SUSPECT
The Bossier Sheriff’s Office is looking for the person caught on video while using a stolen debit/credit card at Bossier businesses after he burglarized at least two vehicles in the Lakewood Subdivision in the past week and possibly others in recent days.
Detectives determined that the suspect used the stolen card to make two separate purchases at Wal-Mart on Airline Drive. Video surveillance footage of the suspect obtained by detectives also shows the same suspect using a stolen card at the nearby Murphy USA Gas Station.
Based off the surveillance video, detectives are looking for a white male in his 20s or 30s, driving a mid-2000 model white Toyota Tundra, extended cab with chrome Nerf bars, possibly bearing Texas tags.
The suspect or possibly other suspects have been burglarizing vehicles in Lakewood and Bayou Bend subdivisions by stealing items from UNLOCKED vehicles, with no reports of any vehicles broken into with forced entry. Detectives want to remind residents that these vehicle burglaries are often crimes of opportunity and can be avoided if residents would lock their vehicles and remove valuables or other items from plain site in their vehicles.

ROBBERY SUSPECT WANTED
Bossier City police and Bossier Crime Stoppers are asking the public to help identify the suspect who robbed a local motel over the weekend.
Bossier City Police responded to a reported robbery just before 3:30 a.m. Sunday at the Bossier Inn and Suites in the 700 block of Diamond Jacks Blvd. The suspect entered the front door of the lobby where he jumped over the counter, grabbed the clerk and demanded money from the cash drawer. During the incident the suspect struck the cashier in the head with an object, possibly a firearm. The victim tells police she did not see the suspect produce a weapon however she felt what may have been a firearm concealed on the suspect when he grabbed her. The suspect got an undisclosed amount of money from the cash drawer before fleeing on foot. The clerk was treated at the scene by Bossier City Fire Department personnel but she did not require transported to a hospital.
Security cameras recorded images of the suspect. The victim describes him as a black male. He was wearing all black or dark blue clothing with a hat that had a white band. The suspect’s clothing appears to be light blue in color on a portion of the video apparently due to the lighting in that particular location.

On 1-13-14 at approximately 8:50pm, a white female wearing a yellow jacket walked into the Valero Kangaroo Express convenience store at 4006 Barksdale Blvd and placed an empty Green Dot purchase card onto the clerk counter. She then advised the clerk that she would like to have $250.00 placed onto the card. When the clerk put the funds onto the card and then placed the card onto the counter in between the white female and himself, the white female asked him for something else behind the counter. As the clerk turned around to get the requested item, the white female took the charged Green Dot card, and replaced it with an identical empty green dot card that she had hidden inside of her purse. Upon the clerk’s return to the purchase counter, the white female told him that she had just realized that she had forgotten her money at home, and that she would return a short while later. The white female then left with the charged Green Dot purchase card containing $250.00 in funds.
